Get registered to vote by pre-registering with your current name, at your current
address, by the third Friday preceding the election. For the general election, you must
be registered no later than October 19th, 2012.

WHAT TO BRING
Nebraska does not require a registered voter to bring ID in order to vote, but if youre
voting in Nebraska for the first time, make sure you bring one of these with your
current name and address to the polls to make sure your vote counts:
a current and valid photo ID
Or any of the following documents, if its dated within 60 days immediately prior to
the date youre presenting it, and shows the same name and residence address on
your voter registration application:
Current utility bill (including cell phone bill)
Current bank statement
Current paycheck or government check
Other current government document

VOTE!
Election Day is Tuesday November 6, 2012. Polls in Nebraska will be
open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Central Time Zone and from 7
a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Mountain Time Zone.

VOTE EARLY:
Any registered voter may apply for an early voting ballot, and no excuse is required to
vote early. The last day to request an early voting ballot by mail for the General
Election is October 31st 2012, at 4:00 p.m. The last day to vote early in your local
election office is the day before the election. The county clerk/election commissioner
must receive early voting ballots returned by mail by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
VOTE ABSENTEE
Any registered voter may vote absentee, and no excuse is required. The last day to
request an absentee ballot by mail for the General Election is not later than 4:00 p.m.
on October 27th for the general election. The last day to vote absentee in your local
election office is the day before the election. The country clerk/election commissioner
must receive early voting ballots returned by mail by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
