How many jobs do DA supporters think the pipeline would create in North Dakota?

Obviously that belief is the main reason the governor would be going to the mat for the thing(other than having one more chance to stick it to the Sioux).

What is the propaganda job figure that's been spread around out there?

What they're saying is the oil is coming through, no matter what. If the pipeline is not built, they will send it by rail. So what they tell the citizens is, "If you don't let us build the pipeline, we will burn down your towns with exploding tank cars." And that's probably just what they will do. They are experts at putting the people between a rock and a hard place.

Oil does not arrive to me and you by magic.

The safest way to transport it is by pipeline.

so it wasn't at risk of contaminating the rez water supply?

Did they ever actually try to work WITH the Standing Rock Sioux on this, or did they just say "Manifest Destiny, bitch!"

to avoid desecrating the burial ground, and seemed to have pushed ahead on going through the burial grounds while an injunction against further construction was in place.

And they may have consulted with the tribes...but is there any evidence that they actually changed anything in response to what the tribes said during the consultations?
