Former Bucks County GOP congressman endorses Malcolm Kenyatta (D)for Auditor General

Former Bucks County Republican Congressman Jim Greenwood endorsed State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta’s campaign for Pennsylvania Auditor General.

Greenwood rose through the ranks of the Pennsylvania Republican Party during the 1980s, and was recruited by former US House Speaker Newt Gingrich to run for congress in 1992, where he served Bucks County from 1993 to 2005.

“I’m a Republican, but I don’t support candidates based on their party. I support them based on the quality of their character, their intelligence, and why it is that they want to hold office,” Greenwood said in a video endorsing Kenyatta.

“Malcolm Kenyatta is running for auditor general and for all the right reasons. He wants to make sure that our tax dollars are spent wisely and for people’s benefit independent of politics or ambition.”
