FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) The arrest of three New York residents Tuesday led to the discovery of $15,000 in stolen merchandise, according to officials from Fairfax County Police Departments Tysons Urban Team (TUT).
Officials said they were contacted by an employee from the Sunglass Hut store in Tysons Corner Center for a theft that had occurred around 9 p.m. ... The suspects were seen on surveillance still inside the mall, according to officials. ... Officials found the three suspects and took them into custody, recovering $15,000 worth of stolen merchandise.

Fairfax County Police Lt. William Arnest also confirmed to 7News there were two more similar incidents this past week, and all suspects were from New York. ... Monday, Arnest said police arrested 38-year-old Randolph Ardila and 25-year-old Juliana Euse Sanchez, accused of shoplifting in Sephora and being in possession of more than $8,000 worth of stolen merchandise from several stores.
Thursday, September 14, Arnest said three more New Yorkers were arrested and accused of credit card theft and found with dozens of stolen credit cards and fake licenses. ... Two of the suspects, Jamine Decambra and Darnel Davis, are accused of trying to make a $21,000 purchase at the Louis Vuitton store with a stolen credit card.

Fairfax Co. police: NY-based theft crews targeting Tysons are stealing up and down I-95

Three New Yorkers, who Fairfax County police said were members of yet another retail theft organization targeting Tysons Corner Center, were arrested Monday after allegedly ransacking several of the malls stores.
Sunglass Hut employees contacted the malls Tysons Urban Team a special unit assigned to cover the mall about a theft shortly after 9 p.m., police said. ... After reviewing surveillance footage, officers arrested 20-year-old Jordan Pastrana-Roncancio, 19-year-old Dayana Valentina Pastana-Roncancio, and 20-year-old Hansbleidy Katerin Sanabria-Suarez.
Around $15,000 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered, police said, taken not only from Sunglass Hut, but other mall businesses including Macys, Nordstrom, Victorias Secret and more.
Jordan Pastrana-Roncancio is facing charges of larceny with intent to sell, conspiracy to commit larceny, two counts of grand larceny and petit larceny. ... Both Dayana Valentina Pastana-Roncancio and Sanabria-Suarez were charged with two counts of grand larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and larceny with intent to sell.
Third such arrest at Tysons in less than a week, police say
First Lt. William Arnest, with Fairfax County police, told WTOP that this is the third retail theft group from New York targeting Tysons in the last five days.

I know its a lot but I think 20 years in jail for all three needs to be given. I think that will stop a lot of this.
