Wine & Spirits names 5 Washington wineries to global Top 100 list

Five Washington state wineries have been selected on Wine & Spirits' annual Top 100 list, which recognizes wineries from around the wold.

Thousands of labels were judged in a two-step process. Of this year's 40-plus selections from the U.S., Washington's honorees include Cadence, DeLille Cellars, L'Ecole No. 41, Pásxa and Pepper Bridge Winery.

"We are honored to receive this award for the 17th time," L'Ecole No. 41 owner and managing winemaker Marty Clubb said in a news release. "It speaks to the quality and consistency that we strive to achieve, vintage after vintage, for 40 years now."

DeLille and L'Ecole also made last year's list, along with Chateau Ste. Michelle, Gramercy Cellars, Sleight of Hand and Saviah.
