Democrat Nick Brown has a seven point lead over Republican rival Pete Serrano for Washington State Attorney General
Former U.S. Attorney Nick Brown is well positioned to become Bob Fergusons successor as Washington States top law enforcement official, the Northwest Progressive Institutes October 2024 survey of the Washington electorate shows.
46% of 571 likely Washington voters surveyed last week by Public Policy Polling for NPI said theyre voting for Brown, a Democrat, to join the executive department as Attorney General, while 39% said they are voting for Republican Pete Serrano.
15% were not sure.
Brown prevailed over Northwest Progressive Foundation boardmember Manka Dhingra in the Top Two election, securing a spot on the November general election ballot. He previously worked for Governor Jay Inslee and is a litigation partner at Pacifica Law Group, a law firm that does a lot of work for local governments and nonprofits, NPI included. He was nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as the U.S. Attorney for Western Washington in 2021, and subsequently confirmed by the United States Senate. He stepped down from that position last year in order to run for AG.
