Are Republicans Punishing Striking Teachers? WV Teacher Jay O'Neal

Jay O'Neal, middle school teacher in WV and activist talks with Thom Hartmann about what's happening in WV with teachers, charters and proposed GOP actions. June 21, 2019.

Republicans in West Virginia are going after striking teachers. After teachers successfully organized a strike to demand better conditions and better pay, Republicans in the area are making it a personal mission to punish these teachers.

Jay O'neal, a Middle school teacher in Charleston West Virginia and founder of the West Virginia United Caucus and West Virginia Public Employees UNITED, organizing hubs for the 2018 strike, joins Thom Hartmann to discuss the strike and the repression faced by striking teachers from Republicans.

Although it is no secret that Republicans oppose all labor organizations why did Republicans single out teachers after the strike? https://freespeech.org/stories/gop-punishing-teachers/
