(15,042 posts)... and accusations on someone like Sherrod Brown, instead of Biden, the converse would be true. Or if their roles were reversed, with Biden as an Ohio Senator and Brown as President. The deceivers prioritize their attacks against the more powerful Democrats, of course.
I'm still convinced that Obama could've never won in 2008 if he'd been in the sights of right-wing propagandists for much time beforehand -- e.g., his ambitions weren't as anticipated like a Hillary Clinton, who received their preemptive strikes for years.
Edit: People can't make good moral decisions if they don't have a decent grasp of reality. The armed idiot who entered the pizza restaurant in Washington DC, trying to rescue children victimized by pedophiles, was performing a noble act... IF THE NONSENSE WAS ACTUALLY TRUE, but which obviously (to anyone with decent critical thinking skills) was a baseless conspiracy.
That's why blatant lies shouldn't be tolerated, in my opinion, but they're unfortunately allowed to keep spreading under free speech protection arguments.
