1982-OH Secretary of State Reagans first midterm, Democratic nominee for Governor Dick Celeste won by a 20 percent margin. Howard Metzenbaum-D won re-election to a 2nd US Senate term by a 15 percent margin.
1986-OH Secretary of State Reagans second midterm, Dick Celeste won re-election to the OH Governorship by a 21 percent margin.
2006- US Senate against Mike DeWine-R, Brown-D won by a 12 percent margin. The Democratic nominee for Governor Ted Strickland won by a 24 percent margin.
2012- US Senate. Barack Obama-D carried OH by a 3 percent margin. Sherrod Brown-D won re-election by a 6 percent margin.
2018- US Senate. Trump midterm, Sherrod Brown-D won re-election by a 7 percent margin.
The only election that Sherrod Brown lost was the 1990 OH Secretary of State Re-election to Bob Taft III who was a legacy candidate. The Republican nominee for Governor George Voinovich won by a 12 percent margin.

Is Trump or DeSantis going to win the popular vote in OH by a margin greater than 8 percent? Joe Biden should not ignore OH in exchange for TX. Sherrod Brown will win re-election but by a less than 5 percent margin.
