Household Hints & Help
Related: About this forumRecommendation for a barrier shrub or grass that is non-invasive, yet provides some privacy.
.
My rear-facing neighbor has older ewe trees, which do a fairly decent job of masking some view. Unfortunately, about 30 feet of the 90 foot barrier mainly collapsed from age and deer passage. I'm open to running the plants across the full with of the backyard. While the deer do not eat it, they trodden down the plants even more. The area gets about 5 hours of sun a day, and since both of our yards are sloped away from the homes, water is not a problem, although there isn't standing water. Deer is an issue in my neighborhood.
I am looking for something to place on my side of the property line to fill in that void.
Most of the tall grasses appear to be invasive or require some maintenance splitting every year or two.
I was also thinking about planting flowering shrubs, but don't know what kind to buy.
I saw some plants which seem promising, such as:
Shoal Creek Chaste Tree
Lavender Lady Licac
Dappled Willow
Grace Smoke Tree
Can anyone help guide me with landscaping plants and suggest something really nice?
