MacBook Pro Touch Bar issues

my nearest apple store is about a 2 hour drive and I hate calling customer support, so Im posting this to see if anyone else has had this issue and how it was fixed.

Something is going on with my touch bar, about two inches from the right where the on/off/fingerprint reader is all blacked out. half of the brightness widget is blacked out and the volume widget is gone. However, if I touch the area where volume would be I can still get the volume adjust. Also, the fingerprint reader has stopped working.

My first thought is this is a hardware issue and its dirty and I should spray some electrical contact cleaner in there, but since I payed a few grand for this laptop the sensible part of me decided to post this and see if anyone else has had this issue and ask how it was fixed.

And Iphone.

Had a phone call yesterday, supposedly Apple Care telling me my Apple had been hacked. Then they transferred me to a foreigner who began asking questions. I hung up. Tried to chat and ask them about it. They wanted a dollar, refundable to chat with customer service. I cut it off. All I wanted to ask, was it a robot. They are getting really bad stealing business names to get you to answer.
