phpBB

https://www.phpbb.com/

I've been thinking of a start up. I have html, css, php, sql and server admin skillz. I have long term linux based hosting and plenty of storage. I'm currently managing 6 business websites that I coded.

I was considering DCforum+ ver1.72 but there's been so many great improvements and add in mods to forum software since DCscripts went under. Looked at vBulletin which seems to be well liked but I am an open source enthusiast and phpBB is looking mighty good.

Would like 2 other politically progressive populist partners with complimentary or equivalent skillz. Start up financing is not needed and if it should take off then a paid member account system and advertizing can be implemented. Ability to work within a group effort is a top priority.

Ok ...so are you are wondering ...what's the forum theme? For now let's just say that it isn't going to be something right leaning corporate centrists, bullies or repukes will be interested in. I'm looking to the future and the next 3 years and I got an idea of what is going to happen to the 2 political party system.

Msg me if you are interested in partnership otherwise if you have em ...post opinions on phpBB.

Warren, Sanders, Grayson, FDR.

There for a while, it seemed like once a month there was an exploit and you had to rushrushrush to patch / upgrade.

v3.0 has some nice features that make updating a bit easier (and less likely to lose all your posts.)

Also, look into anti-spam mods- not just captcha for registrations, but also plugins that tie into known spammer email addy / ip addresses like www.stopforumspam.com.
