Although, most still do index the Description meta tag contents. Keywords are pretty much useless unless your are on an Intranet with a proprietary search engine (such as SharePoint).

(3,270 posts)Title, Description, Page Content and URL are very key to search optimization.
You should even consider having pages redirect (HTML Response Code 301) to specific pages in order to create higher result rankings.
