I would like to know views on following issues

Last edited Mon Dec 30, 2013, 03:18 AM - Edit history (1)

Hello,

Can you please tell me your views on following issues?

1) Do you think that there are a need to increase awareness, donation about pro-state cancer and testicular cancer?

2) Do you think that unmarried, un-engaged men should have an option to opt out of financial support for the child if the women decides to have the child against his wish? (Note : This rule is applied only in states where women have full abortion rights...that means in mainly liberal states like California, NY etc). The men who opted for financial support will be denied of each and every parental right.

3) Do you support reservation in companies board/high level management? (For example : norway has a rule for reservation of 40% for both sex for few publicly listed companies). Do you think this is a good solution to decrease wage gap instead of fighting to increase the wage for the specific jobs in which women have a large majority (like teaching, nursing, customer representative etc)

4) Do you support free DNA testing of a new born child if mother/father demands for it?

5) Do you support exclusive educational scholarship for men?

6) Do you support an exclusive "Sponsor a male child education" movement?

7) What are your views on prostitution?

1) Do you think that there are a need to increase awareness, donation about pro-state cancer and testicular cancer?

Yes.

2) Do you think that unmarried, un-engaged men should have an option to opt out of financial support for the child if the women decides to have the child against his wish? (Note : This rule is applied only in states where women have full abortion rights...that means in mainly liberal states like California, NY etc).

I guess but proving or disproving his/her wishes might get a little dicey.

No.

4) Do you support DNA testing of every new born child?

No.

5) Do you support exclusive educational scholarship for men?

No.

6) Do you support an exclusive "Sponsor a male child education" movement?

I don't even know what that is, but by the sound of it probably not.

7) What are your views on prostitution?

Strictly speaking people should be free to use their bodies as they see fit as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else, but in the case of prostitution it's more complicated. A professional football player is in the strictest sense a porn star since people get a vicarious thrill from watching him play, and anybody that does any sort of manual labor is a prostitute selling their body for the benefit of others.

When sex becomes involved there is more at stake than caloric output. Prostitution markets more than just sex, but intimacy. Selling intimacy can exact a tremendous toll on someone and cause emotional problems far beyond other occupations. Add to that the history of sexual coercion and prostitution becomes a very difficult thing to manage in any culture.

However, here's mine...

1) Do you think that there are a need to increase awareness, donation about pro-state cancer and testicular cancer?

Yes

2) Do you think that unmarried, un-engaged men should have an option to opt out of financial support for the child if the women decides to have the child against his wish? (Note : This rule is applied only in states where women have full abortion rights...that means in mainly liberal states like California, NY etc).

No

3) Do you support reservation in companies board/high level management? (For example : norway has a rule for reservation of 40% for both sex for few publicly listed companies). Do you think this is a good solution to decrease wage gap instead of fighting to increase the wage for the specific jobs in which women have a large majority (like teaching, nursing, customer representative etc)

Against the law in the US.

4) Do you support DNA testing of every new born child?

No

5) Do you support exclusive educational scholarship for men?

I don't support any scholarship based on gender.

6) Do you support an exclusive "Sponsor a male child education" movement?

See #5

7) What are your views on prostitution?

The sexual behavior of consenting adults is none of my business.

1) Yes. Further, I think that male contraception, PSA testing, IPV abuse counseling and STD testing should be free for men as it is for women.
2) Two justifications are frequently used to defend abortion; a) Women should be able to make their own medical decisions and b) No one should be compelled to be a parent against their wishes.
Imagine this: Scientists invent a baby transporter with which a fetus can be extracted and grown to viability in an incubator without medical risk to the mom. Would that make abortion irrelevant? I would say yes. Therefore I agree with justification "a", I don't agree with justification "b". Therefore, my answer to your question is "no".
3) No. I would not support gender quotas in boardrooms because I would not support gender quotas in coal mines.
4) No, for privacy reasons.
5) I would prefer that there were no gender-based scholarships, but a big part of the reason that women enjoy a 3:2 dominance of college is because google suggests there are about twice as many scholarships for women as for men. So given the rules as they are currently; yes, there's a need for at least a doubling of college scholarships for men.
6) No. Education should be a public responsibility and educational outcomes for boys show that we're doing it wrong.
7) Generally, it's none of my business. My public interest extends to workplace safety concerns and no further.

2. Perhaps, but if so the man should be stripped of all parental rights, for good. If you don't want to be a father, then fine, but you can't have it both ways. And a man in that position should also be offered a free vasectomy so it doesn't happen again.

3. I think both higher wages, and some form of gender-based corporate affirmative action, should be implemented.

4. No, unless there's a specific reason.

5. Meh... probably not. I understand the argument that women are somewhat overrepresented in higher education, but I don't see men overall as being particularly disadvantaged.

6. I don't know. No opinion on that, really, except I don't see a specific urgent need for any such thing.

7. Selling sex should always be legal (for the prostitute) but pimping and related activities should carry stiff fines and prison sentences. On the buying end, I have no particular desire to prosecute "johns" unless they knowingly buy sex with an underage or trafficked person.

1) Yes, i agree. We should all support breast cancer funding too.

2) I agree with you that he should be stripped of all parental rights. I have updated that point in my OP. A free vasectomy is also good...and i also think that women should be provided with free IUD devices.

3) I agree for higher wages...but i am not sure about "gender-based corporate affirmative action" - Please care to give me some example.

4) I have updated my original question to "Free DNA testing if mother or father demands for it".

5) Actually that was not my main concern. I do not oppose 60% re-presentation of women in college/university studies. I think best ones should go to college regardless of sex. I am fine with 90% women and 10% men in college or the opposite as long as college selection is based on same merit. The main reason is that not a single eligible student should be denied admission due to financial conditions. While, in a perfect world, i would love to see scholarships based only on merit and financial conditions but currently we have scholarships for woman, native american, minorities, location based (state, city) etc..Thus, an exclusive scholarship for men with poor financial conditions..what's the problem?

6) Not an urgent need but there are many organizations for "Sponsor a girl child education" which is very good and should be praised. Thus, what is the problem for "Sponsor a boy child education" org? Every child should be given a fair chance to study.

7) 100% agree with your views. Pimping and other related activities should be illegal and prostitution between adults should be legal.

1 is a yes. An everyone should have a complete check up yearly including a skin cancer exam.

2 is a no. If you're part of the act, you're part of the billing cycle.

3 is a no. I support dismantling the current form of oligarchy and starting over with a minimum stipend for each citizen. We can discuss what form of economy from that point forward.

4 is a meh. Up to the parent.

5 is a no. My preference is low cost higher education based on merit and ability at state universities. Private colleges can do what they want.

6 is a no. Reform the educational system with the means to support all the kids and get away from property taxing to finance school systems.

7 would be consenting adults enjoying what ever they agree to is their business.
