"As far as money is concerned, all you football guys going into the strip clubs and throwing, raining down on these strippers," someone in the crowd began, before eventually getting to a question. "I think thats a bad example for our young ladies. How could we stop that? Because I think thats a bad example that we are setting for our young girls that they need to be strippers. How do we deal with that issue?"
"Ive never gone into a strip club and thrown money, so I couldnt tell you," Sherman responded.
After deflecting the odd query like an inaccurate pass, Sherman then went on to give as thoughtful and uplifting a response was seemingly possible.
"But I guess trying to understand that there are other avenues, there are other ways you can make money, that women can do anything they want in this world," Sherman said. "You can go out there and be CEO of a company, you can go out there -- and like I said before, the same can be said for kids in the inner city -- that the ceiling is limitless. Dont limit yourself to those possibility and those circumstances."

(68,357 posts)I cringed at his post-game interview, like a lot of Hawks fans. But I know more about the situation now. I think he's fantastic, and I'm looking forward to seeing him play in the Bowl on Sunday.

Why isn't she after Dennis Rodman for visiting North Korea?
Who is saying that young girls "need to be strippers"?
Why isn't she asking Tom Brady why he married a supermodel?
I couldn't care less if Sherman went to strip clubs, but he certainly handled the ridiculous question with class and more respect than I would have given her, as so many men think that young girls need to be strippers.

Richard Sherman has his degree in communications from Standford no less and he's working on his masters. I think after his NFL career is up we're going to see him either as a broadcaster or a politician.
