Because each of the various scandals of the Clinton White House – the travel office firings, Whitewater, Vince Foster's suicide, the Paula Jones lawsuit, and the Lewinsky affair – was predictably declared by Republicans to be "worse than Watergate," I felt someone needed to set the record straight. In reality, these scandals, even collectively, did not come close to Watergate in their seriousness.
