Our societies need to enact a complete overhaul of the way the justice system handles rape and sexual assault.

(11,686 posts)3. In the county I live in if there is a domestic disturbance
both are arrested even if one of them is crouched in a ball in a corner shivering and beaten. It is absolutely amazing that they spend the money to transfer them to jail in separate police cars.

she died in an "unrelated" shooting months later. why am I having trouble with the 'unrelated" part???
