Today's google doodle honours Zitkala Sa, native and women's rights activist, educator, writer,

musician and composer. She was born on the Yankton Sioux Reservation Feb. 22, 1876, went to missionary schools, graduated from college. She taught, wrote books and articles, played piano and violin, and collaborated on "The ?Sun ?Dance Opera", the first opera with a Native American theme.

She was a truly extraordinary woman.
