My lady and I thoroughly enjoyed the two Tom Papa stand-up specials on NF

If y'all haven't watched Tom Papa's comedy specials on Netflix, you definitely should. The dude is hilarious. They're called 'You're Doing Great' (2020) and 'What a Day!' (2022).

He's like Gaffigan in that he's funny with just normal observations, it's all super-clean, like you could watch with your grandma pretty much.

But still hilarious. Hadn't heard of him before, now I'm a big fan

Edit to add: Other clean comedians' shows I like are Ryan Hamilton's Happy Face and anything by Nate Bargatze. And John Mulaney of course.

But it's not too over the top. We thoroughly enjoyed his shows too.

It's not like we only like comedy that's inoffensive, we aren't uptight at all, but it's fun when people can pull it off without it.

I'll put Happy Face and Nate Bargatze in the queue, thanks!

His frankness talking about his addictions was great.

His humor is most like my own.

Gaffigan, Seinfeld and Bargatze are really good, too. Almost as good as Kathleen Madigan!

I have a guilty pleasure comedian. Were I to disclose him here, I'd probably have my account canceled! Really funny; he just has a few misogynistic bits. I listen to him only in my own company!

He did a "Traveling America" monologue every episode. They were hilarious.
That whole show was great - much better than Prairie Home Companion in it's later years.

He comes up with jokes on the fly. I don't know how comedians do it. They just have different brains, and can see the humor in every situation.

And comes up with really funny impromptu stuff. Definitely a special talent.

I'm sure I'd love to hang out with that guy.
