Just got a prescription filled and I was amazed.

I take pain killers from time to time, strong ones. I only get it refilled twice a year or so because I only use it when the pain is so bad I can't get out of bed. We have a new insurance carrier and some new state rules. I know have to have blood drawn, pee in a cup and pay for NARCAN (in case I od I guess) which cost me $40.00. I was more than furious. Has anyone else been through this? The total out of pocket for the whole mess was $140.00.

and have never heard of this. I had a friend that passed away from cancer in December, that was prescribed Opana, Fentanyl, Dilaudid and Morphine.😳 I don't know how one body could handle all of that.

I have been on Hydrocodone for 12 years on an as needed basis. The urine tests started last year, the blood and having to buy Narcan is new.

But the Walgreens just fills the drug scrip. I'm guessing I'd need to verbally request the Narcan.
Or maybe it's just that they know me...69-year-old former cancer patient who most likely won't abuse the meds.
