Related: About this forumWhat To Do When ― Not If ― Roe Vanishes
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/opinion-marty-roe-wade-kennedy-abortion_us_5b34279fe4b0b5e692f42b42?ncid=engmodushpmg00000003The first thing to remember is that overturning Roe doesnt make abortion illegal altogether. According to The Guttmacher Institute, there are four states that will automatically ban abortion if Roe is overturned, 10 states that have pre-Roe bans on the books that would likely be valid again after a U.S. Supreme Court decision, and another eight states that have said they will ban abortion to the fullest extent possible once Roe is no longer the law of the land.
Thats 22 states where women could lose access to abortion almost overnight.
Find out where your state stands and work from there. If there isnt a law keeping abortion legal post-Roe, contact your state legislators immediately to get one drafted. If your state is one of the eight that has a trigger law ― a law that makes abortion immediately illegal in the state if Roe is ever overturned ― reach out to a lawmaker to draft a bill to remove it. Even if there is no hope of changing your states law, it will force a public conversation and engage other local allies.

When Contraception is used correctly, abortions are not necessary.
Want to reduce the need for abortion? Don't get pregnant if at all possible. Teach and support those who want to be sexually responsible. Which is 97% of what Planned Parenthood does. Support PP's non-abortion programs.
Married guys! Condsider giving up your fertility so your wives do not have to worry or support your wives in having tubal ligation if she is done having children. That will make you not only better parents, but better spouses to one another.
Parents of teenagers! Make sure they get the correct education and information on Sex and Sexuality to reduce teen pregnancies and the need for abortion.

My husband had a Vasectomy a week after our 2nd child was born. It was one of the best gifts he had ever given me. It helped me to be a better parent, and we were able to afford things for our kids like vacations, Catholic school, etc.
My daughter went to Planned Parenthood as a teenager to avoid getting pregnant. My son was a little more stubborn, and thus became a father at 20. He is 41 now and wished he had listened to me. But nor does he regret the great daughter he had, which is great. She uses PP as her go to for Birth Control because she is no where ready to be a parent, being a child of divorce herself. She knows all too well that a stable marriage with someone you love is vital for bringing a child into the world.

when I was 26 since I decided I didn't want kids when I was a teenager. When I was in my 20s I decided that instead of putting my body through 30 years of birth control to just do it. PP was great and counselled me about my choice and despite my age said I had the best reasons they ever heard from someone so young. I had the whole thing done for only $99! It was one decision I have never regretted, especially now with the political issues our country will have to deal with for a long, long time.
