What's for Dinner, Fri., Febr. 3, 2023

Because it's so cold: soup. Chicken soup with matzoh balls and chicken sausages with kale. Lots of the usual vegetables such as carrots, leeks, and celery. Chopped parsley over the top.

This pic is from the last time I made it, which was last month. This time I made the matzoh balls smaller.

I'll also make up a big, leafy green salad. Creamy garlic dressing, homemade.

Tart cherry kombucha to drink.

Dessert: unknown at the moment. I'm headed to the grocery store so will post back.
on edit: I bought some ready to bake cookies: chocolate salted-caramel. I can just bake one or two so I don't eat the whole package. The other dessert is white chocolate. Not sure which I'll choose at this time.

It is brutally cold out there. Fifteen degrees with a windchill of -2. I am so glad I made this soup!!

It’s bitter cold and blustery here today and that soup looks like just the thing to warm you up.

Our early supper this afternoon

A big split chicken breast and some leg quarters baked in a bag with garlic and spices.
Brussels sprouts and tiny red potatoes, both halved and baked.

Evening snack later, but not yet picked out. I think there is salad that needs eating.
