total submission is required and all your waking hours are owned by the Firm.

I remember a time when the bosses would take off at 5PM and call anyone who stayed stupid. Humiliation, not promotion was the reward for putting in too much time.

Working dads and working moms get held back because they're less available.

I worry that this might sound harsh but I think it's simple and logical.

I hope you don't think that the world or society somehow ought to compensate for the fact that you have this blessing and, logically, have less to give to work.

I worry about a mindset that would work that way, but I can see how our society might have created it.

Be a good dad, many of us will never have that privilege.
