I have a mischievous vandal, and I suspect the name is Madoc. Or Gryff. But probably Madoc.

When my nephew installed my new TV he moved the cable box and DVR player to the mantel, beneath the mounted TV.

This morning I realized that I couldn't see the cable box illuminated clock. Upon investigation I discovered both the box and DVR player had been knocked OFF of the mantel and thankfully had a soft landing, still connected, on a cardboard box.

Now, both of the big boys like to travel along the mantel but Madoc is the king of knocking things off of flat surfaces. Just not usually something as big and heavy as a cable box.

The only REAL damage was to the bundle of wires that connect the DVR player to the TV but that can be easily replaced.

Not sure what I'll do to prevent this from happening again. Hopefully he got that out of his system.

He was a real terror, last night. Just racing around and pouncing on me while I tried to sleep. He finally settled down and I dozed off at about 1:30.

Time for another brain storm.

Last night he jumped up, looked me straight in the eye, NEVER looked at the bottle but still managed to knock it to the floor without ever taking his eyes off of me.

Apparently he pre-calculates his mischief.
