Related: About this forumPolice hope people will exchange unwanted guns for gift cards
(WPEC) Boynton Beach Police are hosting another gun buyback event this weekend.
This is the second such event the city has done in the past six months.
Police want to get as many unwanted guns as they can. To accomplish that, they're ready to hand anyone who brings in a gun, a $100 gift card.
They have 180 gift cards to exchange for guns.
"We're trying to to just provide an opportunity and an avenue for those people who have unwanted guns to get rid of 'em," said Asst. Chief Joe DeGiulio, Boynton Beach Police.

Around 80 to 90 percent of what's turned in will likely be either inoperable or cheap junk.
