And then there is Chris, Matthews, again

We watch him because he has interesting guests - when he lets them speak - and is the only one that raises political points not found on the network news (more on them later).

Anyhoo, last year he boasted, again, about how he knows about politics, eating, sleeping walking 24/7 and predicted that Rand Paul would be the Republican nominee. "Mark my words" - or something like that.

I wonder whether they archived it or quietly lost it.

Oh, about network news: I entered the room at the half point time. It was on ABC because the local affiliate has the best earlier news. The news were about Miss Universe and then about some stupid football player. So we switch to the "serous news network" - CBS, exactly the same stories.

So we switched to Erica Hill on MSNBC and she was ready to talk about that football player.

And they wonder about declining network viewers. Or, perhaps, this is the way to get them.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/08/08/chris-matthews-declares-rand-paul-will-be-the-2016-gop-presidential-nominee/

(The Republicans) put up with George Bush the first, put up with Bob Dole, were deeply disappointed by the big-spending George W and last year, again, by Mitt Romney, and are now going to come loaded for bear into the race for 2016. So, I predict the hard right is going to take over the Republican Party in 2016 and that the nomination is going to Rand Paul. You watch, this is what I do for a living.”

I doubt Matthews circa 2013 thought Trump would ever make good on his constant threats to run for president.

Can't say I ever did either!

Never thought of Cruz which, I think, is really the hard right, the evangelicals.

Still, the pomposity with which he said this: I know, I do this for a living.

As far as Tweety goes,he is their based on his families Social Standing in New England and what is known as the D.C. Social Circuit. Remember, his Brother is a Republican State Legislator in Mass..

His family are the Kinder Morgan Klan. One of the .001% ers. Not one of the sharpest tools in the drawer. And to think his new Spouse is running for Congress as a Dem. Still remember his comment about Sarah Palins ass, duh.

He's definitely a mixed bag. But he ain't a GOP'er

He's done some great very symphatic interviews with Bernie after the first two debates. I was kinda sad MSNBC didn't do coverage on Sat, he and BErnie appear to have some good camaraderie going on.

We're going have to agree to disagree. Take care

after they become familiar with conditions, or when conditions change.

I just don't like his bullying and bombastic attitude.
