Related: About this forumWhat a depressing week.
All the shootings, all the video, all the lives lost.
Guns, guns, and more guns.
I feel like no progress has been made in all the decades I've been alive, and I know it extends backwards for many generations before that. I expect more from the modern era, and I am not seeing it.
I wish I had something more insightful to say, but I don't. It is all just so sad.

change in tone after a mass shooting. I know it hurts but I think Obama has changed things in ways that will be paying off well into the future. Trump has helped too by lifting up 'the skirts' the GOP were hiding under for two generations and exposing their racism for what it is.

(6,133 posts)I haven't given up yet. I know why, because I care, and I cannot predict anything, but only hope.

(123,433 posts)ago and not gone out to the public because the digital age did not yet exist, the horror would have been suffered by the families and their immediate community alone. I think it is much better now because something will be done about it. The cameras are a transfer of power. And it is for the good.
