Looking for some Halloween reading?

48 Books That Scared the Bejesus Out of Readers

Goodreads asked fellow readers, “What’s the most terrifying horror novel you’ve ever read?” They responded with some blood-chilling reading, including some true crime they said was more frightening than fiction. Lots of Stephen King, of course. Some really old ones. Shirley Jackson's Haunting of Hill House tops my creepy list. There are some new ones, too.

But I do like some good ghost stories, demon or paranormal stuff, or witchy stories. Stephen King can bug me too much. Thanks for the list!

is really good too. It's the original story that the movie was made from, and much closer to the stage productions than to the film.
