Related: About this forumHas anyone read The 3-Body Problem Series?
Im about 3/4 finished with book 1, The 3-Body Problem, and unless the following books are substantially better, I think I might give up and move on. 1 and done.
Any encouragement to go to book 2 The Dark Forest?
Note: its not too techy for me. Its just kinda boring.

(34,369 posts)while I do barn work. I am not sure I am enjoying it but I think it is just not my usual read. I will finish it and am interested enough that I might go back and read it again in a few months. Going on with others, I am not sure yet. It is being made as a TV series by several of the Game of Thrones people.

(12,600 posts)The translation felt a bit more dynamic to me. I like Ken Lius fiction, but his translation of 3BP felt a bit too professorial.
Its been a long time since I read them, though.

(2,332 posts)Next month, as a matter of fact. It's an Obama choice from some year in the past. For me, most of his recs work, but we'll see. I'll decide after reading it if the rest of the series is worth my time.
Not sure if I'll watch the live action drama.
