It's the retelling of HUCKLEBERRY FINN from Jim's perspective.
I'm on the Hold list for it at my library.

(46,995 posts)I have no plans to read it, but sounds like it will spark a new genre. I can hear the keyboards clacking already.

(2,332 posts)For a very long time now. Grendel (Beowulf villain retell) came out in 1971, after all. One of the most popular villain retells has to be Wicked, a WIzard of Oz retell.

(152 posts)As soon as I read about it I put it on hold. Sounds like an interesting read.

(2,332 posts)And I wanted to read it, so badly. I love the original Huckleberry Finn, but, even in high school, I always thought Jim's side of the story would be much more fascinating.
Unfortunately, I forgot to check into the library site the day they got it. Dumb, dumb, dumb. The waiting list was already crazy when I did see about getting it--one of the downfalls of living in a large city. I've postponed the read for now. It's not going anywhere, after all.
