3 Indicted for Role in Ex-Waffle House CEO Sex Tape Case

A woman and her attorneys have been charged with secretly videotaping her having sex with a former CEO of Waffle House, and using the recording to try to extort millions of dollars from him.

Fulton County District Attorney spokesman Dontaye Carter in Atlanta said in a news release that Mye Brindle, John Butters and David Cohen were indicted Friday. The indictment alleges former Waffle House CEO Joe Rogers was secretly videotaped in his bedroom having sex with Brindle, his former housekeeper.

Butters and Cohen tried to force Rogers to pay millions of dollars to prevent the recording from being released, the indictment alleges.

Phone calls and an email to Brindle, Butters and Cohen were not immediately returned Saturday.

Brindle filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Rogers in 2012. Brindle accused Rogers of forcing her to perform sex acts with him to keep her job despite her protests for nearly 10 years.

Reading JUST the headline, before I got into the "extortion" part of the story, I wondered, to myself, "Why would anyone who is a CEO be so cheap that they'd have sex in a Waffle House?"

Then I wondered, "Hell, where'd they do the deed? On one of those tables? The counter? The floor? Some creative positioning?"

And that led to my wondering "Who would devalue themselves so much that they'd have sex in a damn Waffle House? There's got to be affordable hotels nearby--there always are--Waffle Houses make their money off the affordable hotel trade, often as not!"

Then I clicked on the story and said to myself "Ooooh....never MIND!"


But I sure had some fun with my imagination before I got the real scoop, there!
