(62,444 posts)3. It's an old DuPont family estate
Years ago, it was a country estate owned by a member of the DuPont family where they kept their horses which they raced at nearby Delaware Park. It had been abandoned after a fire in the main house quite a number of years ago, and the grounds were a favorite area haunt and hangout, particularly in the winter when the ponds would freeze over thick enough for skating. Oh yeah!..And I wear a face mask, gloves and layered pearl izumi
stuff too...Specialized hard rock for the township roads and a specialized
tri cross for the asphalt...You make me feel guilty...I should be out
riding...60 degrees..instead of trimming trees...
Safe travels!!
