I think ruby-throated hummingbirds are the only species here.

They are so cool.

I also learned that they don’t just feed on nectar. They also eat insects. Never knew that.

Some people leave out banana peels in a hanging basket near the feeders, to help attract gnats for the hummers

in late March, early April. At least the banana peels.
Watermelon will have to wait until it’s in season.😉
