Verdins

Tom Mangelsdorf:''Verdins are tiny, colorful birds and are only found in the southern sections of five states: Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, California and the Sonoran Desert area of Arizona. They are swift acrobats in the air twisting and turning with remarkable speed. They enjoy skittering around in the depths of the spiked branches of the Cholla cactus making them hard to spot and even more difficult to photograph.''
