Standing room only at the feeder this morning

There are more at the neighbors doing dust baths on some recently dug clay.

Later in the day I'll see nuthatches, woodpeckers, cardinals, doves, etc. but these are the early risers. There is much entertainment just looking out the window.

2. I will be moving soon

I'll have a nice porch facing east-south-east perfect for the sunrise. Unfortunately there are no trees or shrubs near for the birds to hide. I guess I'll dig up some privet that is taking over everywhere. Planting it now will likely give some cover for the birds this spring. I'll also look for a wild cedar. to transplant.

I can't spend money on landscaping yet, but to have my entertainment those birds need cover.

4. I figured out I can cut a larger cedar down

There are some that need to be removed. I can take the post hole digger and plop the cedar down in the hole. It wont live, but it will provide shelter for quite a while.
