(35,671 posts)2. I had a Rufous hummingbird come visit me here in Delaware after Thanksgiving 2016
So after seeing this picture, I put some fresh juice in my feeder on the porch. I know it was rare, but its stuck around for a couple of weeks.

plus other Rufous sightings further north.

The one that showed up in November was totally unexpected, and I guess I had just been too lazy to take down my feeders. Now I leave one up all win winter.
