(24,094 posts)3. We too, have a dearth of rain too, there are huge parts of interior Missouri where rain hasn't fell
for some time. Some of the areas involve grasslands too, so I hope that we don't have any issues on prairie fires/grass fires or forest fires in the woody parts of MO (in the SE portion of MO).
Here's wishing for rain for both of us!

Haven't checked western and northern MD, but fingers crossed. Varied agriculture here.

(24,094 posts)5. They have some pretty nasty grass fires in the southwestern portion of MO, where the OK, KS, and AR
borders all meet w/ the MO borders (the four corners) last year. I hope that there isn't a repeat of these fires, my sister and them are in the Joplin/Neosho area of SW Missouri.
