Vultures are smart birds that are a refuse removal service for nature.

2. Yes they are! Keeping an otherwise clean road even CLEANER!

Kept trying to fly off in front of my car; sorry couldn't get pics of great wing-span.

3. I totally appreciate these hard working birds

Sometimes they roost at the top of the water tower in my neighborhood and spread their wings out to dry

4. They arrived at my house on the 16th this year.

I usually expect them within a day or two of the 3rd (easy to remember -- it was my high school sweetheart's birthday).

5. Have seen them flying above my house

(Calvert County,) but not on the road until today, and road CLEAN, so wondering what they'd found.

There used to be a fence beside where they were today, but it was removed so no more good fence views.
