perhaps he got a renewal bonus as well, and there surely are add-ons and the typical agent grift payment too

Also, he is on at least £350K PW (around $425 PW, due to the pound being very weak v the USD atm, normally £350K would be around $475K, $500K or so) with the new contract


The all-time highest salary was Messi's old deal of a few years back, counting add-ons and image rights, he was pulling around an INSANE 2 million pounds a week gross (close to 3 million USD per week at those FOREX rates back then)

The all-time transfer fee is still Neymar from Barca to PSG, with inflation it is now over £200m in 2022 quid.

I was referring to the transfer fees back in the early 70s.

I believe it was Spurs or Newcastle that forked out 200k on the transfer fee. It was viewed as scandalous at the time.
