(13,737 posts)and sit...hmmm...at the water's edge (a tad to the south and east?? Probably condos there now, eh?) - and eat the best bread on the planet smudged with some butter and feel those trade winds blowing thru my hair -
But please do, DO indulge in some Cuban bread for me while you're there, bif! NOM!!
And enjoy your trip, totally!
Edit: ah, I was thinking about that "Southernmost Beach", but checked google map, it looks very public and bricked-over, but how about a stroll to the end of "South Beach" - dat might work!

(113,130 posts)Even if you're not an avid fisherman, it's a nice way to spend a day. And you can drink.
On land, drinking and walking seem to be the two things everybody does there. I remember watching tourists walking around in knee deep water during a big hurricane some years ago, street cams were pretty funny.

(15,092 posts)I never used to bother with such. The couple we were with insisted and I have to say I enjoyed every minute (about an hour or so) and discovered things and places I never imagined. It was well worth it.
