Woohoo!
I Listed my house for sale on Wednesday and just sold it for more than I thought I would get. My ex is on his way here now to finally get the last of his crap out of my garage. I found out yesterday that the restaurant where we were married has been razed. I'm finally getting an iPhone. And I may have a new job opportunity...
By Jove...I think I'm on a new path!

Finally. I'm headed in the right direction. 
Did it have to do with "letting go?"
I stayed in this house after my divorce for my daughter. It was the only home she knew and all her friends were here. I didn't want to disrupt her stability.
I never wanted to live in this house -- my ex wanted it -- and had I been single after the divorce, I would have moved. I've wanted to move for a couple years.
This year, my daughter was accepted into a magnet highs school (my alma mater. 1400 kids auditioned, only 200 made it), so it makes sense for us to be closer to my work and her school.
Selling the house completely fell into place. Next week, I just have to find a place to live. There isn't much available, but I'm hoping someone lists a new property this weekend!

Plus, the mention that your ex is getting the last of his stuff inspires me to do a little more de-cluttering for when my GF moves over here sometime next year (once the immigration paperwork gets filed and processed.)
Sounds like you're clearing it all out. It's quite the relief, isn't it?
My rule is if it's more than 6 months old and I don't love it, it goes to charity, so I try to stay clutter-free, but getting his stuff out was like a weight was lifted.
- BTW, the restaurant razing was the clincher! Now everything is back to its natural state. Gaia approves!!!
