Your math homework

There are 19 days in January before the 20th. There are 31 days in December. Adding them together yields 50 days.To get the total number of days before January 20th subtract yesterday's date from 30 . Add the answer to 50.

Yesterday was the 20th. 30 minus 20 equals 10. 10 plus 50 equals 60.

When we get into December subtract the yesterday date from 50 to get the number of days left before January 20th.

Example: December 11th. 50 minus yesterday's date (the 10th) equals 40. 21 left in December plus 19 in January.

that even simple arithmetic is a problem for many. The post was an attempt to help those who were wanting to know but would not even try to figure it out. Do you have a problem with my attempt?

you’re one step ahead. I’m always struck by those who seem intent on being the turd in the punch bowl.

I am reading a really profound book by a Potawatomie lady named Kimmerer. It is called Braiding Sweetgrass, and it has some beautiful things to say about ways we can change our paradigm, and thus the world around us.

As the mom of a very sensitive, empathic son...these are words I live by. At your suggestion, I just added Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer on my Audible reading list.
