Had a dream about fashion show competitions, the fifth dimension, and a CF2 tornado!

Dream started off where I was in two competitions that were going on at the same time, one was Project Runway and the other one I can't remember the name. We were in NYC and I was working on the design for the nameless competition when they banned all outside communication, including the laptop I was working with. There was a hour left for creating the garment and I had nothing done! I decided to use the fifth dimension with non linear time and completed the project. While setting the garment up on a display dummy I noticed that the other contestants were amazed that I had finished. Asking how I could get to Parsons, (where the Project Runway competition was being held) I was told that there was no way that I could be there in time. "No problem", I said as I began to walk in the direction, "I used to walk all over this city when I was young". Somehow, I repossessed my laptop and began watching the news as I was walking. The story broke that a tornado had touched down in Springfield (where I'm from) and the picture showed some of the damage. I saw houses destroyed and a multi-level building with the top floors blown off. As I was looking at the picture I thought to myself that's a CF2 that they had!

I woke up. So.... what do you guys think?

Just relaxing on my day off. Had to get this computer cleaned out yesterday. Now that was a bit upsetting, not stressed, though.

Hmmmmmm Competition???? Reward/recognition Clothes = The persona you project out into the world.
You were in the fashion Mecca NYC Cut off from all outside influences and your tool the “Computer”
You immediately reached into a metaphysical Dimension Transcending space and time amazing your competitors with the Garment you created being finished.
You asked for directions to a very well known prestigious place where a “Competition “ was being held = Again Recognition/reward
Again you are told that there is no time. AGAIN you said No problem and began setting off on your own path.

You said…”I used to walk all over this city when I was young”

There are 2 competitions
There were 2 times when you were short on Time to meet deadlines.
Two times you decided to follow in your own path the fifth dimension and walking to Parsons
2 times you needed to work with your laptop once you couldn’t the other you saw the weather news
You went through 2 Wormholes The fifth dimension and the Tornado..Yes! A tornado looks like a wormhole, Also it looks like a Chakra, And it SPRIRALS!!!! A very potent symbol if ever there was.
You even thought “That’s a CF2”
2 times you reflected back to being younger/childhood Once when you walked around New York City and again when the city you are from turned up on the news.
I’m thinking The number two is important here Icymist LOL!

I think you have out grown the foundations laid down in you’re childhood, and your childhood home,hometown Icymist!!! You are so much more now that they are just not applicable any more for you they can no longer hold, nourish or contain you on a soul level!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! 5. Yup. Planning on playing out soon.

Got the stratocaster geared up and playing through the four-track. Just a matter of putting together a set of songs. (Gotta write some new ones... the old ones aren't where I'm at anymore!)

Gee Howler, you sure do see a lot in this little dream. I've been spiritually 'working out' a lot lately. I guess it's beginning to show. I'm going to check out your links and contemplate all this tonight! Well, gotta play guitar for a while!

And that is where I think you will find your greatest rewards/recognition.
I really feel that you are gonna blossom and take it to heights you only dreamed of.
You even said "Gotta write some new ones...The old ones aren't where I'm at anymore".....Like the dream tornado tearing up your home town. Or caught up in a creative whirl wind!!!

10. Hey, better yet Howler, I come out there!

My mom lives in Masury Ohio, just northeast of Youngstown. My dad, he lives by Springfield, Illinois. They divorced. Anyway. when I visit one, I could simply verge upward and visit you in route to the other. Just a thought since I'm planning on visiting them this year. It was going to be this June, but since I have just found out that I have a catarac in my right eye, that will be pushed back until July or August. I really hate these kind of surprises. Anyway, stay in touch and we will see each othe someday! Indeed, HHOOOOOWWWWWEEEEEELLLLL!

7. I haven't a clue what it means, icy, but

that has to be one of the coolest dreams evah! (Okay, maybe not the tornado part.) But, "use the fifth dimension with non linear time" gave me happy goosebumps.

8. "Parsons"

I love Howler's response, and can't add much to her well-honed insight, except that the names of things often provide clues to dream interpretation.

Parsons - could be preachers? The name of a person/place that means something to you? something you heard on TV before you fell asleep? To "reach" that place is a goal in the dream, so what does "parsons" represent? (Graham Parsons? lol you being a musician )

The general theme seems to be that you have "paid your dues" and now you can move into creating - free from former blockages. You can find ways around the order of things without getting mired in them.

Play that git-fiddle. I know what you mean about outgrowing songs. I am writing a few new ones and they are not my usual process or outcome. My strat is collecting dust but I am going to have it repaired and start playing it again. The acoustic is great but rips up my old hands on too many bar chords.

You inspire me to get that work done. So thank you.

9. Oh My Tsiyu...

Parsons is a well know prestigious college for fashion making garments and has been the only place that project Runway has aired in the past three years (at least I think it has been three years) and that is what I got from that bit of my dream. I've been following Project Runway since it first aired. I'm more surprised that I couldn't get a name for the first competition.

I can say that I have expanded my boundaries spiritually, both in remembering and learning new. There was a time that I became a lightship. I flew over a city, somewhat like Seattle, but not so. There was another time I flew a lightship, but crashed into trees. Both times it was like a dream, but I knew this wasn't a dream. The time I crashed I realized afterward that i did all this before and now, that I have experienced non-linear time, I know this was one incident. I'm learning that this is what deja veu is. (did I spell that right?)

Oh, most definitely I will continue playing the guitar. I now practice like I did when I was thirty! (I'm fifty three now) and age dose not mean a thing. I'm playing like I'm on a mission and a great deal depends on the outcome of whether I learn all this or not. I am working on new songs: Love Is The Universal Currency, Cities Of Love, and so on...

Get out and play. I'm almost ready to hit some open mics (Haven't done that since '99!) and turn my newly written songs on them. Like I said, it's a mission.

I am so un-fashion-oriented, although I do love to see the runway shows and all the innovative ideas the designers have on display each year.

I appreciate it, but I'm dumb as a rock about it.

Thanks for your encouragement. My partner is getting a recording system up and running and we are going to get a CD going once he's got it fine-tuned. A few more weeks and we should be trying to do something.

Work is very labor-intensive and I am caring for my friend's critters so I feel like there is no time to practice but I am trying....

14. Tsiyu!!!

You are talking to a woman who's summer wardrobe consist of oversize Tie Dye T-shirts and mens boxer shorts.
Winter is oversized tie dye T-shirts with long pajama bottoms!
I tie my long silver hair up into a pony tail and Go with my middle aged oversized self! LOL! COMFORT is EVERYTHING!!!! Fashion.....not so much.

Now Music is EVERYTHING Here in Howlerville too!!!! I don't play any instrument and I can't sing a lick But I listen to it ALL the time!
