The Flipping Historical district just gave us A seven day citation to trim our trees,and remove the heated wild Kitty houses off our porches. (we have a mommy with a litter of 3 week old kittens in one of them! And the nights are still dipping below 32 degrees here in Ohio) 
And called my Trumpet vines "Noxious Weeds" 
I'm going to call them tommorrow. Thats what I need the really good ASAH moJo for! To have this discussion come up with the most positive solutions for all concerned! @#$%^&*()_+! Though right now I would like to play the headless horseman looking for the inspector has my next victim!!!!!!@#$%^&*()_+

My daughter has become a big fan of flower essences (I think Rescue Remedy?). When she's really stressed and needs to be calmed, she swears they help.
Maybe we should buy a case of it and distribute all around?

The "problems" they "cited" you are typical of self-appointed home-owner "nazis", making it their business to mind your business. I really wish these associations were against the law. Local and county deed restrictions are often plenty to keep a property in good order, as defined by health and safety rules. Anything else is aesthetics, and I never heard of anyone harmed by an "ugly" paint job

My Trumpet vine covers the whole front of the house! It just drips blooms from late may to October and draws the Hummingbirds to it!!!

has a story on one of her audiobooks about her beloved trumpet vine, and how a neighbor cut it down while she was away. She replanted the roots close to her house and saved it. I love her stories-(-I listened to them at night when I was going through chemo to help my mind stay clear) --and her audio books, she has the most soothing voice.

Howler!!! I went through 6 mos in '11 for lymphoma, and now am maintaining pretty well, green drinks and simple foods. I was studying body and energy work when I started feeling 'off', and then got diagnosed as stage IV last year. You know, nothing is wasted, everything I studied I have had to put into practice on myself. These days I feel my spirit has gotten stronger, even when my body runs out of energy.

I have lived in one of those groomed neighborhoods, but luckily it started becoming so diverse that it actually become more free--in yard designs. Of course all of my gardens have ever been wild ones

I miss grubbing in the dirt so much! There are sad parts in my book because it deals, in part, with Cherokee history. The title, however, is taken from the name of one of my great-grandfathers. His name was Weep.

When I read the cover jackets! I also knew it was going to have sad parts because of what the book is about. I mean you can't very well write of "The trail of Tears" In a light hearted manner!

You can get the kennal heaters online for about $50:00 we also put candesant Light bulbs in the dog houses to radiate heat inside.
We bought the Igloo Dog houses for about $50
o or 75 dollars a piece. We put plastic tarps over them in the winter to keep the area dry.
Those cats really utilize our cat houses. bless their little hearts. The street is so hard on them.
