Who is my neighbor?

In my case - The literal answer is they are Christians in the "prosperity gospel, marriage is between a man and a woman, non-Christians go to hell" sense of Christian.

We don't pal around.

But if I saw them naked, bleeding, beaten on the side of road I would absolutely treat them as the Samaritan would have.

No brainer. Most people would.

But if I saw Trump, whom I hate as the Samaritans hated Jews; bleeding, beaten, naked penniless. What would I do?

I asked my husband who is more loving than I am the question and he said he would put Trump in the car, drive him to the emergency room and dump him out.

"Wouldn't you wait till they had brought him inside and had his paperwork filled out?"

"No" he said. "I've assumed enough legal liability at that point."

I'm still thinking about the question. I don't think Christianity is a series of steps and ceremonies and culture. I think it's accepting Christ's challenge on the Sermon on the Mount. And we don't have to be "Christian" to be Christian.

Would my neighbors help me out? Maybe. I know one of them would definitely keep driving.

Would they help Trump? They sure would.

Yeah, I'd take him to the emergency room. I don't think more would be required. It's not.. LAS14 Jan 2019 #2

And I feel sorry for him.

Many see the President. I see a small, not very smart, very insecure and bullied boy who can never get past what his family did to him. And yes, this emotional small boy has done great damage to others, but he is still human.

You are all my neighbor. And my family.
