at a "camp" for widows. She is meeting women closer to her age, with similar experiences. This is better for her than talking to older women who were married for whole lifetimes. Of course, many of those types of widows are there, too. But she is getting some good support and help from this gathering.

I don't know much more about it. If anyone here would like information about this, I will see if I can get her to send me something.

2. One of the things that is making all this harder for her

is the ex-wife. She is trying to take my daughter to court and rob her blind. The woman divorced Tom more than eight years ago. She thinks she can get property and money. I can't say much more, because there are courts and lawyers involved.

My daughter's lawyers are stunned by the audacity. They say they have never seen anything like it.

I have. My first husband was older. He died when I was twenty-seven. His ex tried the same thing with me. It didn't work, but it added a great deal of stress to an already bad situation.

3. That is just horrible.

It's so hard to fathom the greed that motivates some people.

I hope your daughter's lawyers prevail against her. I cannot even imagine the stress that comes from this situation, on top of the horror of losing her beloved husband so abruptly.
