at the same time. Did it this way because my eyes have been really giving me problems lately, and I don't have an appt until 2 weeks from now. I found both to be acceptable. I was truly surprised at the dubbing. I was expecting something along the lines of the old Raymond Burr style dubbing... but, except for a few over-acted scenes, this dubbing was pretty much on the mark. Grandson and I had a great time streaming it!

I bought a DVD that has all the old Kaiju movies, from the very start up to the newer ones. They're all subbed. I think my favorite is Destroy All Monsters... but that's just because I adore Baby Godzilla. I fired one up a couple of weekends ago and watched it again for the umpteenth time and laughed all the way through it.

There's one old American 50's movie I've been trying to find and haven't had much luck. I believe the title was "The Monolith Monsters." I remember as a kid, it scared me. Today, I'd probably be embarrassed if I told anyone that after watching the movie at my age now! (LOL) My Dad got me hooked on the old 50's monster movies... especially Godzilla... and it was something we shared together until he died. I'm doing the same with my own grandson now. Kinda nice passing down the tradition!

Living part time deep in the Tokyo burbs there's a Toho Cinema right across the street from me. Couldn't pass up missing this one. When I was a kid I never thought for a second someday I would be in Godzilla's home country munching popcorn and sucking down a coke watching a Godzilla flick.
