Vox - Why Obamacare enrollees voted for Trump

Basically, ignorance abounds and is compounded by middle class Americans warring against the poor. Market forces from greedy insurers also contributed to the problem.

Voters wanted change and don't believe Republicans and the new president can actually take away their health care. These people are in for some major surprises during the next few years.

These people are so consumed by bigotry--and that is really why they voted the way did--they will jettison their own self-interest.

They can't be reached.

I had a brother living on the streets who voted only once in his life and it was for Ronald Reagan.

Go figure.

3. One issue voters and Trump promising them better jobs and to save their jobs from oursourcing

certainly helped a few of these unfortunate people vote for him. Many are one-issue voters such as being against abortion, so they will sacrifice their own health to meet their voting requirement.

4. They think Trump will lower their premiums

but they don't understand that he'll let the insurance companies continue to screw them

5. They may be partially correct here.

Their subsidies will disappear and/or their premiums will skyrocket to the point where they will cancel their insurance or be unable to pay it. So, they will save money but at a significant loss.
