I believe that Trumps action of ignoring intelligence reports

is a set up for something big and dangerous to happen on American soil—before the next elections in 2018.

This would be for the sole purpose of making Trump a popular leader.

I recall it vividly after 911: Bush's popularity soared. Friends of mine who hated the guy said, "We must stand in unity now."
My feeling is that THIS time they'll go for some place like California. In California, we have a Democratic Super Majority, and a Democratic Governor. And I would guess the right wing HATE having to fight this every election cycle.

Sorry to post dumb guess work, but there is some scary, careless crud that Trump is doing. And sometimes you just need to scream about it.

... to make Trump look like a hero should there be another terrorist attack, that plan WOULDN'T include having him brag about the fact that he WASN'T bothering to get daily intel briefings before the fact.

Should there BE another terrorist attack, the first person the country would blame is the idiot who was "too smart" to be told what was going on.

If another 911 or greater happened, who's going to listen to someone screaming about what Trump said before he was inaugurated? The few that were against attacking Iraq after 911, weren't taken seriously. After a huge attack on our own soil, I think it's basically political anarchy.

After witnessing the reactions after 911, I'm pretty sure, if something happened greater than 911, our country would be looking to Trump for guidance.

... "forgotten that quickly".

If this "plan" was concocted to make Trump a hero after an attack, wouldn't the "plan" include telling him to brag about how he was taking his intel briefings seriously before the fact?

It seems this great "plan" - which would involve thousands of people, and faith that no one would leak - seems to have overlooked some very serious flaws from the get-go.

It's just a theory; and I'm not sure why it has you so upset.
I think it's good to be paranoid in a situation when a possible fascist is now becoming the President of the U.S.

That ignoring briefs is reckless endangerment to the citizens of our country.

... was never necessary before now.

What does one do with a pResident who thinks he's "too smart" to have to listen to briefings - tie him in a chair and force him to listen?

This is a man who bragged about being "too smart" to pay taxes for eighteen years. And people voted for him anyway.

to light a bonfire under Trump's ass. It's outrageous and unthinkable in this post 9/11 world. We need the CIA to continue to get out all its retirees for media attention on this debacle up to 19 Dec. After that, it's every person for him/herself.

Trump says he has a good brain. When he was running in the primaries he told the NPR interviewer when asked about foreign policy and that he did not have an advisor that he had a good brain. He is dangerous.

and then they shot up to 90% on 9-12.

In California, our equivalent of the Trade Towers is the Golden Gate Bridge. That would be my guess for Trump's target.
