Chuck Todd to Podesta: How Much of Democrats' Loss Is on the Campaign and Not Comey, Russia?

John Podesta appeared on Meet the Press today to discuss Russian hacking and how his emails became a big part of the campaign that ended up with his candidate losing.

Podesta revealed in this interview that the FBI has only spoken to him once about his email account being hacked. He told Chuck Todd this took place in early October, after the WikiLeaks dump began, and he hasn’t heard from them since. And it’s very clear to him that the letter from FBI Director James Comey was a big factor in Hillary Clinton‘s loss.

Todd asked him that “when the history of this election is written,” how much of the Democratic loss is about Russia and Comey as opposed to failures by the Clinton campaign to go into states like Wisconsin.

Podesta said Democrats want a full accounting of the election and while he did note the popular vote and how slim the margins were in key states, he did admit that there’s “no question” they made wrong decisions.

Sure Comey's second announcement caused her poll numbers to drop substantially, but it was only because of the email server existing. But I don't know what the campaign could have done about that as it was set up before the 2016 campaign apparatus.
